It has just been confirmed that the Standard Chartered Arts in the Park 2021 will take place in West Kowloon Park with live performances on 6 and 7 November. Young people from more than 200 schools and youth organizations participate in the event each year with original performances, parades, and art exhibitions. Since 2013, the event culminates with a Grand Parade of giant puppet parades and the first illuminated Night Parade and attracts more than 190,000 visitors each year. In 2020, it went online for the first time as a week-long online arts festival. We still don’t know what kind of events the organizers have in store for this year but we are sure it will be large-scale and fun so make sure you mark your calendar and closely follow later news for any new announcements.

The two-day carnival is part of the Standard Chartered annual youth education programme through arts that started in 2001 and moved to Victoria Park in 2008. It is organized by the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation and supported by Standard Chartered Bank. Inspired by Mardi Gras carnivals, it is one of the most unique art festivals for young people as well as the largest outdoor youth festival in Hong Kong.
